Static Objects - Scenery
While I have been a very satisfied user of FTXGlobal, FTXGlobal Vector improves areas such as coast lines, but it also creates havoc in other parts. If you are into retro scenery as I am, here lies the problem. I got FTXGlobal Vector when it first came out and only recently made it part of my FSX install and after there last upgrade to v1.15. While it does allow to configure areas such as roads, bridges and airport elevation corrections and a few other things, it will mess up third party addons in some parts, extra objects seem to appear in the scenery that was never there to begin with. One would think that a simple un-install of this product would solve the issues but since this product basically re-writes default FSX objects from what I can tell and have yet to see or find a way to un-install, I was left with having to re-install my retro FSX, not fun but I did have backups. Since I have 3 FSX installs on my PC, all on external drives, I just will use FTXGlobal Vector for the modern day install for now. Even though FTXGlobal is not really geared towards a retro world, I have no problems with a modern day road system or anything else associated with the product and I'm still very happy with it. So, if you want a retro world, FTXGlobal Vector is not the way to go as far as I can see. My next ORBX purchase would of been the land class products, I think I will hold off.
This site is for my passion of the "Golden Era" of propliners and yes, jetliners. Older repaints are for Microsoft Flight Simulator, specifically Fs9 (NO LONGER AVAILABLE) and now only for FSX. Fs9 gave me many hours of enjoyment since day 1, 10 years to be exact, but it was time to move on. Fs98 looking "Ai" aircraft or low quality blurred scenery BMP's is yesterday's news, enjoy the hobby if this is your choice. No "my way or the highway" mentality here. Choices and preferences for modern day PC's capable of handling better looking objects if one so desires.
All repaints are original unless noted. Any modification such as alpha changes, added detail or anything else of another author's work will be stated as such. Download
links (Hidden Page) are given to low key simmers or friends who enjoys the hobby without the extra or added "BS" that pops up at times in many forums and who have a direct link to me or through a personal access code to the download area.
Since leaving Fs9, I've painted mainly for myself, I've happily given my works out to just anyone for close to 14 years, now it depends on who you are. Another simmer a few months back pointed out a post where my repaints and the word "Show Only" is used. Well, let's be clear here, this is my site "I'm Afraid". I just find it rather odd, what's the difference from what I do here to all other simmers who post screens of what they do in any forum. NONE! Well, a slight difference I must admit. Nuff said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you did not follow my one and only very simple request upon getting a repaint or anything related to this hobby from me in the past, don't bother asking for anything else. This may be a big world wide hobby, tongues wag more than they should and it has and still does get back to me.
None of my past, current or future repaints can be uploaded to any sim site. You can modify my repaints for your own personal use, however, give credit where it's due if you use any part of my textures or paint, especially if you show case what you have done at any forum and call it your own work.
The following is tongue and cheek unless "YOU" fall into this category.
